...and the weather forecasters are not helping!

Don't forget the GIVEAWAY going on for the Kansas City North Face Endurance Challenge!

TRAINING
You know, it's hard enough to win the battle of the snooze buttons with rain and storms in the forecast.  If only they were better about predicting weather in oh say... 15 minutes from now.  Weather channel app on my phone called for thunderstorms (40% chance) starting at midnight.  It's now 7:30am, no storms.  Now, I'm not complaining since this morning I won the battle (2 mornings out of 3 so far) of getting up to train.  Down side - wanted a 40 mile bike ride.  Up side - snoozed too late for the ride but switched to 60 minutes of running sprint intervals.  You take what you can get.  Maybe I'll slip in some bike speed work after kiddos go down for bed tonight.  But, when you are fighting the snooze, forecast of rain and storms doesn't help the motivation factor.

EXAMINER
Midwest Mayhem swim course preview HERE.  It's pretty straight forward but you will head right into the sun to start, so bring some tinted goggles.
For those of us racing the Ironman Boulder 70.3, Wendy Mader sends some tips for the race HERE.  I also heard rumors that Frontier Airlines has free bike transport!?  Anyone else hear that?

SALES
Craft Flash Sale - Get Up To 55% Below Retail On Biking And Running Apparel At TheClymb.com. Event Ends 7/09/2011 At 9AM PDT.

I hear you but I took the gamble and won (the odds are against the forecasters in my mind anyway). Pulled a 4 mile run then commuted to work but added 12 miles to it to make it 25 miles. The weather really was perfect.

Glad to have it out of the way but I still have that ride home to contend with... let's see how accurate weather.com is at 5pm (40% chance of rain).
