Missed the boat Monday morning. The 18 mile run from Sunday was just too much and my body opted to pass out instead of noticing the time on the clock after snoozing for 45 minutes. It was only a swim schedule for active recovery, but I still hate trying to adjust training to make up for missed opportunities.
We shall see if the torrential rains in Kansas City subside for the week to allow me some riding and running outside!
TRAINING
Last week's totals:
Biking : 42 miles
Running : 21 miles
Swimming : 6000 yards
Total Time : 08:19
With a recovery week from IM Boulder and a long distance triathlon for next Sunday, I didn't want to over do it. I figure I have enough base for the long course and needed to focus my energy on one long run for the North Face EC marathon.
EXAMINER

Don't want to over do it? 6000 yards of swimming! Wow!
I like to get in around 10,000 yards a week. Swimming, for me, is the easiest of the 3 as far as demands on the body. It may be boring, but I could swim laps all day... and have. =)
