Shawnee Mission Park & Lack of Sunlight Issue

What's up with that... 6:45pm and LIGHTS OUT!  It doesn't help that I got to the park at 6pm due to traffic.  47 minutes and 5.23 miles later is was PITCH BLACK.  At least I got some mountain biking in.  I think that makes like 4 times this year.  =)

I did notice I've neglected my poor mtn bike.
Bike - "why is this @ss sitting on me?"
Me - "ok bike, I know I haven't ridden you for 5 months, haven't tuned you up this year, haven't cleaned you this year, parked you in the garage while the road bikes get to stay in the basement on nice racks (that's what he said), and basically neglected you, BUT I'm going to air up your tires, expect them to hold and ride the crap out of you and rocky trails and expect you to work just fine."
Bike - "ok, get on."
Me - "Good boy."

Good thing I brought the helmet light.  I must admit I'm rusty and had to un-clip more than I wanted but I'm not looking to break anything so it's all good.

Here's to getting in what you can out there before daylight savings and this weekend takes care of ANY sunlight after work hours!

By the way, for some reason there are random torso model stands and a dress hanging out in the hallway at work.  We don't do fashion, what gives?

Yea, the light thing is getting to me also. But it just makes me want to get to bed earlier!

Since I train in the dark 3/4 of the year, it's the cold that affects me the most this time of year.
