THE KANSAS CITY TRACK CLUB's 34TH ANNUAL ST. PAT'S DAY RUN  

SPD Run LogoPlease Join us for the 34th Annual Westport St. Pat's Day Run on March 10, 2012 at 10 AM. This fun 4 mile run/walk begins at the intersection of Westport Rd. & Pennsylvania Ave and takes you through the heart of Westport. Proceeds benefit the Bacchus Foundation.

RUNNING ON SOLID GROUND  

Let KCTC assist you with one of your New Year's Resolutions, "Eat better, avoid injury, train in inclement weather, run through the mental blocks, run a marathon, or simply improve your fitness level as KCTC presents "Running on Solid Ground." This series of clinics on Thurs evenings will be conducted at the KC Plaza Library's (4801 Main Street, KC, MO 64112) Lg Conference Rm from 6:30-7:30 PM with a social following at Spin Pizza (4950 Main St, KC, MO 64112).  Spin Pizza has extended a 10% discount to KCTC members after each clinic. Clinics are free and open to the public. We will raffle a Road ID gift certificate at each event!
  
January 26th - Nutritionist Shannon Beattie & Mindy Coolman present "Running Nutrition" as they discuss improving performance & health via diet.Have your questions answered on sports drink or not, post workout diet, carbo-loading, etc."

February 23rd - Dr. Tom Cotter presents "Running Form/Running Trends." Gain efficiency in your stride and hear about the benefits of minimalist running.

March 1st -Tom Cotter and Brad McCleary present "Injury Prevention/Performance Enhancement/Physiological Effects". Get the most current medical research to minimize injury while simultaneously improving performance for your spring race.

March 22nd - a sports psychologist helps runners improve motivation and to develop a strong mind. Prepare for this spring and for years to come in a promising fun filled event.
