05/05/2012                                                                              8:00AM The Kansas Heart & Sole Classic is a fun-filled event for all ages and includes a 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run, Tot Trot and Fun Run. The event benefits Special Olympics Kansas, a year-round program of sports training, education, and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Location: Olathe, KS Entry Fees: $20 through April 28     $25 May 4    $30 Race Day Race starts and finishes at the Johnson County Square in historic downtown Olathe. Refreshments provided by race sponsors will be available immediately following the events.The Kansas Heart & Sole Classic 10K is part of the Mid-America Running Association's Grand Prix Circuit and KC Track Club Spring Racing Series.

05/05/2012                                                                                      9:00 AM Join The Global Orphan Project for a morning of fun and exercise at the third-annual GO Project Family 5K. Bring your family, invite your friends, or even form your own team to run (or walk) to help orphaned and abandoned children around the world. Location: Parkville, MO Entry Fee: $25 -5K ($30 after May 2nd)  $20 -2 Mile Walk ($25 after May 2nd) Enjoy breakfast by Chris Cakes and kids' activities immediately following the race. All participants will receive a t-shirt, ticket to the post-race breakfast, and race bag!

It will feature bomb technicians running a 5K in the bombsuit and a bomb technicians running a relay in the bomb suit.
