Come join us for the 2nd Annual Shawnee Mission Park Hot Trot! Participate in our 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, or 1 Mile Fun Run and help support the Wellness Initiative and CURED Foundation. Participants will receive an event t-shirt, bib chip timing, free photography, free chiropractic service, refreshments, raffle prize and award opportunities, and a fun event with a great community of runners! (1 mile fun run participants will not have chip timing or awards.)

Each year on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, the Parks, Recreation & Civic Facilities Department sponsors the Parkway Run. This annual event attracts athletes of all ages, ability levels and from all over the country. The Parkway Run features 5K & 15K runs, as well as a 5K fun walk. There is no extra fee to register online!

Join us on Saturday, May 26, 2012, for the inaugural Run for Rachel 5K and 1 mile walk! Our goal is to provide an event that suits the serious running enthusiast, while also providing a relaxed family atmosphere. By having this run on Memorial Day weekend, we encourage you to run for someone you've lost. We hope you will join us as we run for Rachel! Participants will receive a well designed Run for Rachel t-shirt, post-race food and drinks, and bib chip timing!
