It's getting closer to go time for the Midwest Tri Series and up first is the Midwest Mayhem out at Lone Star Lake in Lawrence, Kansas. In an effort to draw in racers and raise awareness of the events, they created Facebook pages for each race and they are offering some Timex gear and other odds and ends if you simply like their pages.

A preview of the swim, bike and run for the Midwest Mayhem can be found HERE (swim), HERE (bike) and HERE (run). The race organizers are looking to integrate you and online tools. They have issued the following statement.
“As many of you know we live in a viral world with Facebook, Twitter & Blogs and we want to utilize this to our advantage by adding Facebook to the home page of each event sites. Not everyone is on Facebook but, we hope you check us out! When you visit each event website we would ask that you click "Like" for the event. This will allow each of you to get real time updates about promotions, registration incentives and other event information.
Speaking of incentives!!! If you're the 100th person to like any of our events you will win a Timex Body Link System or Timex Cycle Trainer 2.0, the choice is yours! If you're the 200th like of any of our events you will win a GU Energy Prize Pack. As the number of likes increase the larger the prizes will get!!! If you live in KC, surely you have heard of Ultramax sports!?
They are big in race timing and have opened a new store in Kansas City. In an effort to generate some more interest and awareness in the community, they teamed up with a local running coach to offer free supported long runs on Saturdays. You can't go wrong with a supported 12 mile run for free!
Ultramax Sports and Personal Best Running Program will be hosting free informal group runs from our Prairie Village store beginning Saturday, June 9th at 6:30am. The group runs will be every Saturday through July 11th. Course will be set up for a maximum of 12 miles with water stops every 2 miles.
